Delegation led by Мr. Tzetan Tzvetkov, President of the Bulgarian National Audit Office visited the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic from 11 to 13 September 2018.

During the meeting information was exchanged on the audit results regarding the SAO contribution to the taxpayer services, the success of the Hackaton initative for open data exchange, as well as on the Benchmarking Information Exchange Project (BIEP).

Mr. Tzvetkov acquainted the Czech colleagues with the financial reporting procedures in Bulgaria, as well as with the conclusions from the High level conference held under the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union which was dedicated to the role of the SAIs in enhancing accountability, transparency and integrity in the public sector.

Mr. Miloslav Kala, President of the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic, gave a high evaluation on the conference and promised to support the development of a Sofia initiative within the framework of EUROSAI under the Czech Presidency of the organization aimed to further strengthening the SAIs’ independence.
